Ayurvedic medicine has been using the healing effect of coconut water for thousands of years: Coconut water has anti-inflammatory and antipyretic effects, cleanses the blood and kidneys and is used against bladderdiseases. According to the healing art ofayurveda coconut water can also dilute blood and prevent heart attack.
The composition of coconut water is similar to a solution of kitchen salt. Especially in tropical countries coconut water is used with good success against dehydration
Coconut water also contains proteins that allow the immediate assimilation in the bloodstream. Since World War II and the Vietnam War coconut water was injected in wounded soldiers when blood serum was missing. Even organs are transported in a nutrient solution of coconut water.
The particular effect of coconut water on the stomach and intestine allows a more rapid convalescence after operations, especially after stomach or heartoperations. In fact, coconut water has the necessary nutrients and is easily digestible.
Rich in vitamins, enzymes and microelements of fast assimilation, coconut water is ideal as a tonic drink to be consumed at will, especially in spring and summer, when the temperature increase accentuates thirst and dispersion of mineral salts through sweat.
HELPS INTESTINE AND DIURESIS
Coconut water is precious in this season because it strengthens defenses, activates metabolism and fights fatigue. Not only coconut water keeps the gut healthy and improves the purification processes. By helping to preserve the natural moisture of tissues, it keeps them young and tonic. Finally, coconut water (unlike milk) contains very little fat (1.05 g per 100 ml), is low-calorie and is therefore also suitable for those who follow a diet.
ELIMINATES TOXINS AND MERCURY FROM THE BODY AND HELPS THOSE SUFFERING FROM CELLULITIS
Coconut water has a further, very special virtue, known for millenniums by Ayurvedic physicians: it heals inflammations, eliminates toxins from the blood, stimulates the circulatory and renal activity: all properties that help prevent and reduce swellings and cellulitis. Furthermore, coconut water is employed with success to remove residual mercury amalgam which, for example from dental fillings, migrates into the lymphatic system and in the intestine by binding to healthy cells of the organism: the daily intake of this drink speeds up and facilitates the expulsion of these toxins.
During the day, in the morning before having eaten and midafternoon, have a glass of coconut water. You can increase the quantity when it starts getting hot and continue throughout the year. Coconut water is found in health-food stores also combined with other fruit juices, such as papaya, mango, pineapple and passion fruit.
DO YOU KNOW?
When we talk about coconuts in the West, we typically think of a browncoconut, which is actually the "core" of the greencoconut. From this fruit, which is harvested in Brazil before it forms a hardened core when still not matured, a sweet liquid that has abundant curative qualities is extracted.
